Through Czapp, Czarnikow’s analysis team give you their knowledge, news, views and forecasts on the world’s sugar and ethanol markets. We now also offer analysis on dairy, freight, PET, wheat, corn and more.
We have moved all of our data and analysis onto our app, Czapp. This digitisation enables our analysis to be more sophisticated than ever before, including detailed interactive data sections, live pricing and breaking commodity news.
With the largest global team of professionals dedicated to the sugar and energy markets, we offer a wide range of solutions to help our customers achiever superior performance. Czarnikow offers financial and strategic advisory services.
In 2019, our corporate finance team advised in several projects in the global sugar and bioenergy space. One of these was with a Brazilian bioenergy producer and our work saw the company balance its debt obligations, achieve a record cane-crushing and invest in renovation and technology.
Our sustainability programme with Intellync, VIVE, supports businesses to continuously improve by measuring sustainability end to end across entire supply chains. We measure, monitor and benchmark a participant’s performance against global sustainability standards, fostering change through bespoke plans.
In 2020, through the VIVE programme, we concluded our first ever trade of sustainable sugar that can be fully traced from sugar mill to refinery and onwards to food and beverage manufacturers, while being funded by sustainable finance partners and moved by VIVE-certified logistics and chain of custody service providers.
PRICE RISK MANAGEMENT
We help mitigate financial risk by using derivatives trading to price in advance of trades and maximise value. This offers all the benefits of managing price risk through the futures market, without the complications and constraints.
As part of our commitment to focus on our clients’ needs, we deliver bespoke daily reporting to facilitate our clients’ risk management and position keeping activities. We go beyond industry standards to create transparency and value.
Our deep knowledge of the global sugar and ingredients market enables us to provide strategy, management, and trading solutions to our global partners. We manage the challenges of executing long and complex supply chains so you don’t have to.
Despite refined and unrefined sugar still commanding our highest volumes, in 2019 we grew our trading product portfolio by 47%. We now handle over 50 food ingredient, packaging and alternative fuel lines, and anticipate our traded volumes of these to increase over time.
LOGISTICS AND STOCK MANAGEMENT
We identify efficient supply chains that can be seamlessly executed by our global teams and provide a ‘one stop shop’ for all sugar and ingredient stock management needs, where goods can be cleared, warehoused, financed and delivered.
